Chris is a long-time member of the CCIM Institute and has been an active commercial real estate broker since 2004.  He offers his clients the additional depth of experience he has gained from being an active real estate investor and developer.  Chris also serves as the managing member of several real estate partnerships.  In his role as Managing Broker, Chris supervises and mentors the entire team of real estate advisors at Engel & Völkers Charleston.

Prior to embarking upon a career in real estate brokerage, Chris was a real estate attorney in New York (1996 to 1998) and Charleston (1998 to 2004) for 8 years.   As an attorney, he had the opportunity to represent a broad spectrum of parties involved in commercial real estate transactions.   In 2004, Chris founded Harbor City Real Estate, an independent boutique real estate agency, which became affiliated with the Engel & Völkers network in 2020.  Engel & Völkers is a global real estate company with over 950 real estate shops around the world.

Chris is originally from Long Island (Massapequa), NY.  He is a graduate of Chaminade High School, Holy Cross College (B.A., magna cum laude, 1993) and Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1996).   

Chris is actively involved in the community. He is a former President of the Commercial Investment Division of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors. He has previously served as a planning commissioner on the Town of Mount Pleasant Planning Commission and as a board member of the Town’s Commercial Corridor Design Review Board.  Chris has also served as a board member with numerous local nonprofit organizations.

Chris is married to Ann Goulding Cunniffe and they reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
