Gwendy started her career in real estate in 1978 at Cushman & Wakefield in San Francisco. Soon afterwards, she joined The Stitzel Company, a company that set new benchmarks in upscale retail development with the successful completion of projects such as Union Square 100, One Union Square and The Sutter/Grant Building in San Francisco; One Rodeo Drive and Two Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, and One Colorado in Pasadena, California. Gwendy played a pivotal role in the leasing and the development management of these projects, which included tenants such as Gucci, Hermes, Tiffany & Co., Christian Dior, Valentino, Sulka, and Etro, to name a few.
Subsequently, Gwendy formed her own company, Conner Commercial, to specialize in the complex land issues of the development process. During this time, she earned two of the most prestigious designations in the commercial real estate industry. She was awarded the CCIM designation in 2005 conferred by the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institution which recognizes a high degree of expertise in commercial investment real estate, and shortly afterwards earned the ALC designation, which recognizes a high degree of expertise in the issues surrounding the development of land.
Gwendy utilizes her background in retail development, her entrepreneurial business skills and her knowledge of the dynamics of the development process to advantage on behalf of clients seeking unique and innovative vehicles of growth through acquisitions and development. Gwendy is also a LEED Accredited Professional conferred by the U.S. Green Building Council and can assist clients with LEED certification and transactional real estate services. She works effectively with property owners to increase energy efficiency, add value, and promote socially responsible and environmentally conscious building practices.
