Gary Vandenberg is a member of the Society of Exchange Counselors and the National Counsel of Exchangers. He is an Accredited Land Consultant. He often uses real estate exchanges to further his clients' and his personal interests in commercial real estate. Vandenberg wrote and teaches a class called Exchange Magic (see SECounselors.com). He also co-teaches a class called Broker Estate Building, a class of real estate formulas and strategies for wealth creation and retention for real estate professionals. His is past President of the Society of Exchange Counselors and of the Michigan Realtors Land Institute. He was twice awarded Exchanger of the Year (Weaver Award) for the Society, and was named the Society's Counselor of the Year and received the Society's Hunt Award for excellence in education.
